ABOUT US…

The Sumner County Resource Authority, located in Gallatin, TN, was created in 1979 by a Private Act of the Tennessee legislature. It serves as a public, governmental body and an agency for Sumner County and the cities of Gallatin and Hendersonville. The Authority's primary function is managing solid waste disposal and resource recovery within the county. 

The Authority is governed by a board of seven directors, with two appointed by each of the governing bodies of Gallatin and Hendersonville, and three appointed by the Sumner County governing body.
