Resource Authority in Sumner County
Effective April 2, 2018, The Resource Authority in Sumner County (RASCO) will begin construction and repairs to the Transfer Station located at 625 Rappahannock Wire Road, Gallatin, Tennessee that will affect operations and operating hours in the coming months. The RASCO transfer station will be closed Friday, May 25, Saturday, May 26, and Monday, May 28, 2018 for maintenance and repairs on the tipping floor and for the Memorial Day Holiday. The Transfer Station will resume operations May 29, 2018.
Other areas of the site will be under construction while the Transfer station is open for business. Damaged concrete will be removed and replaced, the entrance will be widened, and new weigh scales will be added. Improvements will require users to follow traffic controls and flaggers established with each phase of the work.

Our Transfer Station accepts all waste EXCEPT HAZARDOUS WASTE. A list of household hazardous waste items, rules, and a schedule of collection event dates and times can be found here. You are permitted to attend surrounding counties' collections.
*You must be unloaded and out by closing time or rate is $70/ton.

*Used batteries and electronic waste are accepted, and will be weighed and charged at the tonnage rate of $50/ton.
